Today, I got up early in the morning to do some bottle digging at the old beach dump. The tide was very low today, so we were able to find some nice old bottles. I found some old soda bottles and an 1800′s Holbrook & Co. Wostercer Sauce bottle. My grandmother found a full pontiled bottle. We found some great bottles today and we had a lot of fun!

Its a shell butty
Helloo i have watched all your videos over and over i think your awesome! there some nice bottles. I have about 6 beaches around where i live but they seem to have no bottles on them. I looked for about 4 hours but no luck, and i also dont know where to look for bottle dumps. There are old home sites and 1800′s buildings but i dont know where they could be hiding HH:)
dude at 2;4 thier is a ring.
Where is the beach (if you don’t mind telling)? Also, did you dig deeper at the land dump you posted about, where I suggested deeper would likely produce older bottles?
The bottle your grandmother found is a wine bottle and the base is what is called a kick up, not a pontil. Nice digging and best of luck with future digs!
The Holbrook & Co bottle was a sauce bottle and an import from the UK,
its later than you think.
from about 1890 up until 1920, made at a UK glass factory.
We used aqua glass longer than the US due to the expense and availabilty of the manganese used to remove the green tint in the melt.
Thanks! Keep looking, there are still a lot of nice bottles out there! HH!
nice job! I ALWAYS get my good bottles brocken.
